Dr. David Battinelli, of Northwell Health, says wearing masks prevent transmission of the virus and omicron variant is more transmissible than the Delta variant. (News12)

Village of Patchogue have created a pedestrian education program and safety vest collection drive, officials said. After deadly accidents in the area, one evolving a child’s death, The Chamber of Commerce along with Patchogue- Medford Public Library and Police Department are reaching out to unions and contractors for donations of safety vests.
