  1. A plan to enforce mask mandate is on the make. Part of the strategy is to create “check spots” in certain business to enforce indoor mask usage. Dr. David Battinelli, of Northwell Health, says wearing masks prevent transmission of the virus and omicron variant is more transmissible than the Delta variant. (News12)

  2. Village of Patchogue have created a pedestrian education program and safety vest collection drive, officials said. After deadly accidents in the area, one evolving a child’s death, The Chamber of Commerce along with Patchogue- Medford Public Library and Police Department are reaching out to unions and contractors for donations of safety vests. (Patch)

  3. Experts from Stony Brook Medicine’s Post-COVID clinic discussed long-term effects and approaches to care. Most people with COVID recovers within weeks but some experience long-term effects.
