SHE’S gearing up to hit the dancefloor on Strictly later this month, but EastEnders star Maisie Smith has long been preparing for her time on the show – and has an impressive gym-honed figure to prove it.
The 19-year-old actress – who first appeared on our screens at just six years old – has been showing off her super-fit physique on Instagram – swapping her Tiffany Butcher image for a fit new look.

Strictly Come Dancing is known for having an intense training programme, with contestants training as much as seven days a week as the show progresses.
But that will prove easy for the fitness fanatic who, despite hitting the gym regularly over the past few years, has increased her training intensity in preparation for the show.
The red-headed beauty has been sharing post-workout snaps from her gruelling fitness regime on Instagram, showing the extent of her heavy weight training.
The soap star, known for playing Tiffany Butcher, first transformed her figure in 2017 at just 16 years old – when she launched the online workout programme Results 4 Teens.

The programme is focused on helping young people learn about fitness, mindset and nutrition – something the teen considered important.
At the time, she said: “I have always loved keeping active, especially with yoga.
“Last year I met Cecilia Harris (celebrity PT) on holiday in Spain and we got chatting about ways I could get stronger and fitter.

“It all started with a couple of training sessions that I posted on Instagram which got hundreds of comments.
“It was then I realised that so many teens struggle with not only how to keep fit but also the confidence to join in group classes sometimes!”
Since then, Maisie has become fitter and stronger, continuing to share her fitness journey online -often revealing her impressive taught abs and gym-honed posterior.

Even during the coronavirus lockdown, the TV star showed her commitment to her training schedule and swapped gym floor workouts for at home routines using dumbbells.
Maisie often filmed herself as she took part in Results With Lucy, the exercise plan from Lucy Mecklenburgh.
Now back at the gym, the star has admitted she is “on a mission”, while posing in crop and hotpants – with her eyes firmly set on the glitterball trophy as she takes on Strictly Come Dancing.
Maisie is part of a reduced Strictly Come Dancing line-up for 2020 which also includes former labour politician Jacqui Smith, MIC star Jamie Laing, YouTube star HRVY, comedian Bill Bailey and former Royal Marine JJ Chalmers.

The actress has a slight advantage over some of the other contestants as she has already won Strictly thanks to a cha-cha with Kevin Clifton on the Children In Need special last year.
She has also admitted she’s had training in hip hop and street dance, which she occasionally shows off in clips on TikTok.
However, the whole show could be hanging in the balance as The Sun revealed that it may never make it to air if Britain goes into full lockdown again.

A source explained: “The BBC are fully prepared to axe this series of Strictly if a full lockdown happens.
“They couldn’t even delay the show until early next year because of a number of issues, including them being unable to use their usual studios. While everyone is hopeful it won’t happen, preparations have been made if it does.”
